Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Where Is My Money (“WIMM”), including the web application at app.wimm.money and the license portal at wimm.money. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. This means:

  • Using a strong, unique password (minimum 10 characters)
  • Enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) — we strongly recommend this for all accounts
  • Never sharing your login credentials, 2FA codes, or recovery codes with anyone
  • Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account

WIMM is not responsible for losses or damage resulting from your failure to secure your account credentials, including but not limited to: using weak or reused passwords, sharing credentials, failing to enable 2FA, or falling victim to phishing attacks.

2. Subscription Tiers

Free Tier

The free tier includes manual transaction entry, manual account management, basic budgeting, and limited transaction history. No bank connections or AI features are included.

Premium Tier

Premium unlocks included Plaid bank connections (with additional connections available for purchase), AI-powered transaction categorization, advanced analytics, unlimited transaction history, CSV/Excel/OFX import, and savings goals. Premium is available as a Lifetime license (one-time payment) or Annual license (yearly renewal).

Trial

We may offer a free trial period for Premium features. At the end of the trial, your account reverts to the free tier unless you purchase a license.

3. License Keys

  • License keys are for personal use. Each license supports activation on up to the number of devices specified at purchase (typically 3).
  • License keys are non-transferable. You may not sell, share, or distribute your license key.
  • We reserve the right to revoke licenses that are found to be shared, sold, or used in violation of these terms.

4. Payments and Refunds

All payments are processed through PayPal. We do not directly handle your payment card information. Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of purchase and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Refunds for Lifetime licenses will not be issued after the license has been activated.

5. Your Data

You own your financial data. We do not claim any ownership over the transactions, budgets, goals, or other data you enter or import into WIMM. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we store and protect your data.

You may export your data at any time via CSV or PDF. You may request full account deletion by contacting us.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use WIMM for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the application
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the service
  • Abuse the AI categorization service (e.g., submitting non-financial data, excessive requests designed to exhaust rate limits)
  • Share or redistribute license keys

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

7. Third-Party Services

WIMM integrates with Plaid for bank connections, AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, DeepSeek) for transaction categorization, PayPal for payments, and Resend for email delivery. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or security practices of third-party services.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep WIMM available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service downtime.

9. Limitation of Liability

WIMM is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
  • We are not liable for financial decisions you make based on data displayed in WIMM. See our Disclaimer.
  • Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for your license in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use of WIMM after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
